Ortakent - Yahsi .. local and friendly

Ortakent is a small friendly village, located 13 kms from Bodrum. It has probably the
longest beach in the Bodrum peninsula. It is ideal for swimming, sun, sea, sand
and water sports. Along the beach, there are nice cafes and restaurants and the good
news is.. they are happy to serve you while you are relaxing on the beach.

In the 1960s, a Mycenaean necropolis (ancient cemetery) was found during excavations
carried out by archaeologists from Ankara University. They also discovered ceramic artefacts
and according to experts, the settlement dated back to around 13th century BC and was
located on the hills of Ortakent.

You can wander around and explore for yourself the ancient settlement and .. the great
seaviews from the hills ! Ortakent is only 20 minutes away from Bodrum center by minibuses
( dolmus ).
